In Umbria you will find the most beautiful landscapes, authentic cuisine with wonderful wines, peace and quiet and culture. Polmone Turismo Verde is a small-scale holiday address in rural Umbria. The Dutch owners Sylvia and William also live on site. They ensure that everyone immediately feels at home in this special place. You can really relax here and enjoy the flora and fauna of Umbria without even leaving the property. Polmone is also a wonderful base for a brisk walk, a city trip or a visit to your favourite new restaurant.
EXPERIENCE THE LUXURY OF ABSOLUTE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE
There are few holiday destinations within Europe where you can stay so far away from everything but still have everything within reach. Around the flats you see nothing but wooded hills, green fields and the occasional village in the distance. The silence is disturbed only by the buzzing of bees and the chirping of crickets. There is a swimming pool for cooling off and around the flats there are 7 terraces for relaxing.
A TRUE LITTLE PARADISE
Polmone was once a farmstead, in a secluded spot in the middle of nature. From the main road, a path led to the farmhouse. On the ground floor, the farming family kept their livestock; the pigs had their own stall, slightly away from the main building. There was no electricity, water was drawn from the river down in the valley and bread was baked in the large bread oven next to the farmhouse. Although nowadays we have all modern conveniences, life in this place remains simple. You can really get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life here. A treat, allowing you to return from your holiday rested.

AUTHENTIC YET COMFORTABLE
The rustic character of the flats has been well preserved over the years. Comfort and tasteful details have been taken into account when furnishing. A nice reading corner, a spacious sofa and the colours used reflect the different shades found in the immediate surroundings.
THE HOSTS
In 2022, we, Sylvia and William, took the step of moving to Umbria from the Netherlands to take over a well-run holiday business there. This place was well known to us; because of its fantastic location and friendly owners, we would book a flat every few years to take another break and further explore the beautiful surroundings. Now welcoming guests ourselves, we hope they will have as good a time here as we have always had.
OUR SWIMMING POOL
Welcome to our swimming oasis! A paradise for children and adults of all ages. The swimming pool measures five by ten metres and is sheltered by an old Roman-style wall. Many hours are spent here swimming laps or cooling off after a city trip. Or just romping around with dad and the other children on the grounds. The water quality is continuously monitored by a computer, which means that even the local swallows like to come and take a drink. A very special spectacle to watch from your sun lounger. Because the swimming pool is not located next to the apartment farm, you will not be disturbed by the sounds of the pool and your own terrace will remain a haven of peace.
